The LEGO Summer wave news just keeps coming… and for the first time ever, we’re doing a mid-week LEGO News & Rumors episode because there is simply too much happening to wait until Monday! 

One of the biggest stories this week is the massive LEGO 11377 Minas Tirith set inspired by The Lord of the Rings. New leaked images of the instruction manuals are circulating, possibly revealing multiple build sections for the legendary city of Minas Tirith. At over 8,000 pieces, this is becoming one of the most impressive fantasy sets LEGO has ever released.

The LEGO news cycle is heating up and there’s a lot to talk about this week…

First up — don’t miss this! The BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 restock is happening today, giving builders another chance to grab some of the most popular fan-designed sets before they disappear again. Sets like Adventure in Transylvania, Antique Shop, Mushroom Village, Popcorn Wagon, and The Thieves of Tortuga are returning in limited quantities, and we’ll go over the exact launch times for North America, Europe, and Australia so you don’t miss out.

Then we take a look at one of the most unexpected leaks yet — a buildable set featuring Shrek and Donkey rumored to be coming from LEGO via Shrek. Could this finally be the start of official LEGO Shrek sets?

Next up is something that might become one of the coolest LEGO Ideas projects yet. The LEGO Ideas “It’s Time To Duel!” contest celebrating Yu-Gi-Oh! has revealed its five finalists, and the winning design could become an official LEGO set.
