New Moon Pt. 1 | "Bring Back My Cullens"

    24.04.2026 | 1 godz. 10 min.
“Stephenie Meyer almost never hits for me. But when she does hit, it’s…like transcendental.”

We’ve made you wait long enough for us to read New Moon (2009), hopefully we made it worthwhile by coming back with two episodes on the second book in the Twilight series. Our resident Twilight expert, Hannah Lisa Lohr, is back for both!

Whether you love or hate Stephenie Meyer’s vampire romance novels, their cultural impact is undeniable. And this one has werewolves.

    "Drama, right from the beginning."

To no one's surprise, City of Ashes (2009), book two in Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments series, swept our latest Patreon poll. If you thought the first installment was wild, just wait until you hear what this one has in store. There's a vampire and werewolf feud straight out of Twilight, faeries, demons, magical experiments, tons of family drama, and forbidden love. We had SO much fun talking about this book and can't wait to hear your opinions!

    Dungeons & Dystopia: Dusk - Episode 3

    15.04.2026 | 49 min.
We've reached the epic conclusion of our three-part Dusk real-play D&D series! This episode sees our crew of vampires, werewolves, and one extraordinarily normal girl crashing a very meta interdimensional story convention and taking on a heroic final battle. We're met with several familiar faces, including a young author who bears a slight resemblance to (but definitely isn't) someone you may have heard of. Will this motley crew of Spoons residents save Hammy--and Mirabel's grade--in time?

Unwind | "Our Most Requested Episode"

    10.04.2026 | 1 godz. 28 min.
"I mean, when you're trapped in a box in the dark with three other boys, what else are you gonna talk about?"

After two years of you asking for it, we finally took on Neal Shusterman's beloved and disturbing 2007 dystopian novel, Unwind. Kellie and Daphne are joined by longtime Unwind fan and our good friend, Lin, to discuss the book's real-life inspirations, political resonance, and shocking, frenetic plot. This book tackles several complex and emotionally charged issues alongside your typical YA hijinks and teenage drama, and we try to strike that balance in this episode as well.

The Maze Runner Movies | "The Most Romantic Movie Series of All Time"

    27.03.2026 | 1 godz. 33 min.
"In the crank club, we all fam."

It's been a while since we've done one of these! Kellie and Daphne are rejoined by our friend and fellow Maze Runner reader Colin to discuss all three of Wes Ball's Maze Runner movies. Are they good? Are they bad? Do they defy categorization? We reveal the behind-the-scenes stories of how these movies were made, then take on the epic action sequences, flawless casting, extremely romantic moments, and just how far the film series strays from the books.

O Rereading the Revolution

Whether it was a reaction to the politics of the time or the rapidly approaching end date of the Mayan calendar, the pop-cultural landscape of the early 2010s can be best remembered for one thing: dystopian literature. Join plucky young heroines and podcast hosts Daphne and Kellie as they dive into all of your favorite young adult novels and series from this era as we reread the revolution. We lived through it once and are back to recap, review, and discuss all the best and worst that the world-shifting genre of YA fiction has to offer–the sci-fi, the fantasy, and the supernatural–at least until our society crumbles and we have to survive a brave new world.Follow us on social media at @rereadingtherevolution for updates, and email us at [email protected] with any comments or episode suggestions!
