We will discuss Operation Eagle Claw on the 45th anniversary. We will discuss its causes, execution, and lessons learned. JOIN US!   Operation Eagle Claw was a U.S. military mission conducted on April 24-25, 1980, aimed at rescuing 53 American hostages held at the U.S. Embassy in Tehran during the Iran hostage crisis. The operation emerged from President Carter’s growing frustration with the inability to secure the hostages' release through diplomatic channels. Executed by the fledgling Delta Force, the mission faced significant challenges, including mechanical failures, adverse weather at Desert One, and poor planning. Ultimately, the mission was aborted, leading to the deaths of eight servicemen.   Jalise Williams is a sponsored pro shooter by Colt’s Manufacturing, among others, competing in USPSA, IPSC, USSL, Steel Challenge, UHSS, IDPA and Multi-Gun at local, state, national, international, and world level events. She is an enthusiastic and dedicated young woman that started down the path of success at an early age. She started hunting with her father while she was still in diapers. She then started shooting rifles and shotguns at the age of 4, and at the age of 10, she started shooting competitively. She possesses extensive experience across a variety of disciplines. She currently competes in USPSA, IPSC, USSL, Steel Challenge, UHSS, IDPA and Multi-Gun at local, state, national, international, and world level events. She is a very accomplished athlete. She has won many titles during her career including 3 World Titles, Silver and Gold Pan American Medals, 38 National Titles, 160 Major Titles, and 9 National Records. She has represented the USA at the 2018 Pan American Games on the USA Classic Men’s Team. She represented the USA again at the 2022 Pan American Games on the USA Ladies Production Optics Team where she took away a team Gold medal and an individual Silver medal.   About Tim Herron Tim has been a Grand Master since 2014, has won numerous shooting titles, and continues to shoot enthusiastically, always pursuing improvement. Tim has been instructing since 2015, and loves working with people of all skill levels. His finely tuned eye for detail and personal "trial and error" experience gives him the ability to spot inefficiencies and that many people overlook. His teaching style focuses on an individuals strengths and weaknesses, and he teaches classes with the sole goal of making sure no student feels left behind, ignored, or treated differently, regardless of their abilities or equipment.     Adam Boyce is an authorized Instructor of Martial Blade Concepts and one of only a handful of MBC Instructors in the entire world who travel to teach seminars. Adam's previous career experience has included being an Assaulter and Sniper on SRT (Special Response Team) for nearly 7 years, following which he has spent the remainder of his career working in the training department for a government agency.  He is a Defensive Tactics Instructor, Pistol Instructor, Rifle Instructor, Shotgun Instructor, and Knife Designer, he has multiple years training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts, he earned a Bachelor of Science from Idaho State University in Training and Development with an emphasis in Adult Learning and is fluent in Spanish. A perpetual student of self-defense Adam is continuously looking for and testing the best self-defense methods and practices.
