Reality Check with Ross Coulthart

In this episode of "Reality Check," Ross Coulthart sits down with professor Matthew Szydagis, an astroparticle physicist at the University at Albany SUNY, who was recently appointed to the UAP Science Advisory Council for the White House and federal agencies. Szydagis describes what the council can and cannot do without security clearances, including the more than 50 declassification requests its members have already filed and names the Varginha UFO case as the one he most wants disclosed.

He walks Coulthart through the energy a Tic Tac maneuver would demand, and why he treats the claim that interstellar distances are too great as a misreading of relativity rather than a limit on visitation. He also gives a detailed account of his ongoing testing of one of the Art's Parts samples entrusted to him by Tom DeLonge and Hal Puthoff, including the millimeter-scale holes that point toward a human origin. The harassment that followed came not from debunkers but from people who want the sample to be alien, and he says it has been worse than anything skeptics have sent him.

In this episode of "Reality Check," Ross Coulthart sits down with Dr. Jacques Vallée, the astrophysicist, computer scientist and venture capitalist whose seven-volume "Forbidden Science" diaries have shaped UAP research for six decades. They discuss the final volume, "Forbidden Science 7." Vallée describes the data warehouse of some 260,000 sightings he built for the Bigelow Aerospace project funded by the Defense Intelligence Agency, why the work was cut off after roughly three years before the analysis he designed could run and the fact he has never been debriefed from his clearance.

He walks Ross through his correspondence with a master remote viewer he calls "Gilbert," who describes being taken inside a laboratory built into a mountain and brought face to face with a living nonhuman entity that answered in configurations of light. He also tells Ross that he once came face to face with an entity himself. Vallée says a member in good standing of the National Academy of Sciences told him the academy was warned it could lose funding if it moved into the subject, and after sixty years of investigation, he has concluded that nobody is actually in charge of the phenomenon inside the U.S. government.

The conversation closes on a 1966 Louisiana case in which a physics professor watched an object radiate energy on the order of a nuclear power station and on the piece of tree bark Vallée has kept ever since, waiting for a way to test it that does not cut into the wood.

In this episode of "Reality Check," recorded at the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies conference in Toronto, Ross Coulthart sits down with professor Kevin Knuth, the University at Albany SUNY physicist and former NASA Ames researcher. His 2019 peer-reviewed paper in the journal Entropy estimated the 2004 Nimitz Tic-Tac at thousands of G with no sonic boom, no exhaust and no heat signature.

Knuth opens with the anomalous experiences that shaped him long before physics, from a childhood intuition on a Wisconsin bench seat to the night he and his toddler son both saw a boy standing at a bedroom gate in their Albany home. The conversation moves through the 1988 Montana cattle mutilations, the Malmstrom missile shutdowns and Knuth's own hypothesis for how a craft warping spacetime could knock out an ICBM's navigation system, and his account that AARO had a copy of his paper two months before Sean Kirkpatrick told the Senate no such peer-reviewed work existed.

He describes sonar data from a New Zealand Navy frigate showing an 800-foot object closing 2.5 kilometers in 25 seconds underwater, the UAPx sensor network now deploying radar and RF spectrum analysis in Connecticut, and the limits already placed on the new UAP Science Advisory Council, which has been told it will see only unclassified material. Asked what he wants most, Knuth says he would like to stand inside one of these crafts, and he has spoken with people who say it's possible.
