That is, a fictitious name, or alias, used by narrators in the industry. They offer some privacy and protection for a narrator’s real name and allows them to venture into “off-portfolio” or “off-brand” genres, such as erotica and political titles, content that could be perceived as “controversial”. This is more common than listeners might know - and there are a fair few ways narrators might go about this.
