The VAS is a subtle change in the pulse that can be used as a form of feedback from the body. Shaun uses it both diagnostically and as a way of refining point location, helping him determine which acupuncture points appear most responsive at a given moment.

The connection between Master Tung acupuncture and the VAS is something Shaun has explored and developed extensively in his clinical work. In this conversation, he takes us through the fundamentals: what the VAS is, how it differs from traditional Chinese pulse diagnosis, how to begin feeling it, and how he applies it within Master Tung acupuncture.
