Trump claims no expert could have known that Iran would retaliate by targeting neighboring countries' infrastructure. But Nate Swanson, a 20-year State Department veteran focused on Iran, had already outlined this exact scenario. Swanson was later pushed out after Laura Loomer urged Trump to remove officials she viewed as disloyal.
