Our Listeners Haunted Appalachian Houses || Ghosteas Tea Party #97

    10.04.2026 | 1 godz.
We all love a good haunted house story. Hearing about strange noises in the night from a ghost with a backstory is exactly how I like to spend my time. What makes a haunted house even spookier, in my opinion, is knowing that the home sits on land that is ancient and mysterious. Haunted houses in Appalachia are automatically something next level creepy, and so today that’s what I’m bringing to you. These are stories from our listeners who live in haunted houses in Appalachia!

Spooky stories from Appalachia have blown up over the years and lucky for us, there is no shortage of first-hand tales from people who live in the region online. So for today, I scoured Reddit for some of the strangest and scariest paranormal stories set in Appalachia. The stories range in location and the kind of activity witnessed, but they are all haunting in their own right. From suspected cryptids, and mimics and crawlers, to completely unexplainable experiences while camping in the woods, you’re in for a wild and very strange time.

HAUNTED APPALACHIA: Cabin in the Woods, a Devilish Witch & Fairy Trails || Ghosteas Tea Party #96

    03.04.2026 | 48 min.
If you’ve been here with us long enough, then you know we have a borderline obsession with Appalachia. It’s ancient, strange, and down-right spooky! We’ve done several episodes now on some of the legends, lore, and scariest stories to come out of that region and with each new thing that we learn about it, the more I want to know. So, we thought we’d take the month of April (because I love a good moment for alliteration) and talk about all things Appalachia.

To kick off ‘Appalachia April’ we’re telling stories from you guys, our listeners, about your strangest and spookiest encounters in the haunted Appalachian Mountains! We have possible mimics, creepy cabins in the woods, and suspected Fairy Trail. It’s a good one and the absolute best way to kick off our month-long foray into the most haunted region in the US.

The House is Bleeding?! || The Atlanta Blood House || Ghosteas || Paranormal Podcast

    30.03.2026 | 41 min.
Late into the night of September 8, 1972, Minnie Winston was taking a bath before going to bed. It had been a typical warm fall day in the south, and a nice bath was just what she needed to wash away her sweat and any worries she may have had while taking care of her husband. She had always been more of a night owl and her husband, William, the only other person living with her at the time, had been asleep for a couple of hours at this point, tired and frail from his battle with his health at his older age. The house was still and quiet as Minnie stepped out of the tub. But as she put her foot down, she realized that what she thought was water was stickier than it should have been. She lifted her foot and found that there was a strange red substance on the floor.

She was confused, because she hadn’t seen it when she got into the tub and it seemed to be coming from in between the tiles. Not concerned at this point she walked out into the hallway, noticing more red spots all along the way. It was splattered on the floor and across the bottom of the walls. She went to her bedroom to check on her husband and make sure all was well. He laid there, still sleeping just as he had been before she got into the tub. She wasn’t really sure what was happening and woke him up, letting him know that something strange was going on. It seemed their house was bleeding…

Near Death Experiences & An Astral Yoink || Ghosteas Tea Party #95

    27.03.2026 | 34 min.
We did an entire episode on NDEs a very long time ago, so if you want to learn more about the science behind near death experiences then you can check out episode 5. But today we will be telling stories from you guys that tell of something similar to that phenomenon like an anonymous listener’s grandmother experiencing that classic NDE before she ultimately passed, but also several that are a little harder to explain. Or Breanna’s brush with death and the voice that may have saved her life; A listener who believes they had their own near death experience, but there was something far darker waiting outside their body; and a listener who was saved from a devastating accident, but thinks there may be something out there that isn’t happy they survived…
