We like to imagine the Grim Reaper as a helpful and misunderstood entity, clocking in for a very intense job. But after these stories… we’re not so sure. We’re getting into listener encounters that range from oddly funny to deeply unsettling, all circling the same shadowy figure who seems to show up a little too early and a little too often.

Grim Reaper appearances include:


A shadowy, eight-foot figure appears beside a listener’s bed before returning in a dream to whisper “it is your time.”


A hooded presence repeatedly appears throughout a listener’s life during a series of near-death experiences.


An unseen “man in black” pacing closer and closer to a hospital patient throughout a nurse’s shift before the patient suddenly passes.


A hooded entity sitting beside an apparition of a deceased relative at a funeral, sharing a quiet, eerie moment before vanishing.

In the second installment of this two-parter, we pick up right where we left off with Harold, and things immediately spiral. Anthony starts traveling with the doll, capturing EVPs that range from aggressive threats to disturbingly crude commentary. Psychics refuse to be in the same room as Harold, one woman is physically bitten during a tarot reading, and a Ouija board session reveals a spirit named Adam before leaving a deep scratch across a participant’s body. Harold isn’t just haunted, he’s active, reactive, and escalating.

As more encounters unfold, we learn there may be up to five spirits inside the doll, including a vulnerable child spirit and a dark entity controlling the four others. After a series of injuries, terrifying visions, and mounting tragedies, Anthony realizes he may not be in control at all and locks Harold away for years. But when the doll resurfaces, so does the chaos. Now, Anthony believes he has a responsibility to free the innocent spirits trapped inside, but with Harold growing stronger and more unpredictable, that mission may come at a cost.

What began as a clever sales gimmick to make an old doll sell on eBay soon became something far more terrifying when Harold the Haunted Doll began leaving a trail of tragedy behind him. As the hauntings turned real, at least two people connected to Harold died shortly after encountering him. And EVP evidence suggested that the doll may house more than one spirit, causing dark and unpredictable hauntings. 

In the first installment of this two-parter, we dig into the unsettling accounts surrounding Harold’s journey to his current owner, Anthony Quinata. In his book, Quinata documents years of paranormal encounters, threats, possessions, and unexplained phenomena tied to the doll.
