- Imagine growing up where family gatherings meant 30 to 40 people watching your grandmother slip into trance and speak in voices that weren't her own. That was just any given Sunday for Dr. Helané Wahbeh. She spent years hiding this from academia until she found the Institute for Noetic Sciences, where she's now the Director of Research. Helané didn't just study channeling—she learned to do it. What she discovered through her research and personal experience is that we are all capable of tapping into something beyond ourselves. The messages that come through are remarkably consistent: we are so much more than our physical bodies.

Dr. Chris Niebauer caught his red-handed after a colonoscopy when his "unremarkable" colon actually offended his inner voice. He started laughing because he finally saw it for what it is: a thought, not the truth. With a PhD in cognitive psychology and over two decades of research, Chris has arrived at the same place Buddhist teachers discovered centuries ago—the self isn't a real thing. It's a mirage. In this conversation, we get playful with the left and right brain, explore why our culture is addicted to thinking our way out of problems, and discover simple, immediate ways to rebalance our minds. This is about finding peace without needing to figure everything out.

He experienced a shared death—Mary Fran, Nolan's mother who had died six days earlier, came across the veil, scooped up her son, and the three of them went to the light together. Scott kept this secret for years. When he finally shared it with Mary Fran's sister Lolly, she described the exact same experience. Scott spent decades trying to get back to that state—traveling the world, visiting sacred sites, chasing the magic. Then he discovered binaural beats. Now he teaches people how to access NDE and SDE states while still alive. This conversation is about consciousness, connection, and how to tune your radio.

Dr. Neil Theise is a pathologist and stem cell researcher whose work has been featured in Nature, Science, and Cell. He's also a Zen practitioner. For decades, he kept those worlds separate—until his own body forced them together. But what really got me? His 82-year-old mother. She had dementia, talked to dead people, traveled out of body, and described space and time as "chopped into pieces." Her Parkinson's disappeared. Her blood pressure normalized. She called it the happiest time of her life. Neil wrote Notes on Complexity to lay the groundwork. His next book, Sarah in the In-Between, is the one he really wanted to write. This conversation will change how you see dementia, death, and what it means to be present.

She also discovered he'd been living a secret double life. Dr. Jan Canty is a psychologist who spent 30 years in silence—until a podcast for homicide survivors brought her back. The night he went missing, Jan looked in a mirror and heard herself say, "He's dead. He's not coming home." She buried that moment for decades. Today, she helps others heal through after-death communication and community. This episode aired on July 20th—the exact day Jan learned her husband had been murdered. That synchronicity is not lost on me.
